The Sun Queen dressed in her cheapest clothes. They were by no mean rags, but there were closer to common clothing than eveything else she had. She wrapped a Sari about her, it ws buttercup yellow with gold and orange thread running through it so it took on the appearance of sun rays when rapped in a perfectly flowing pattern. She however wasnt goin for the brightest look today. She wrapped the Sari in conflicting directions so that it simply looked like beautiful fabric and nothing more, then pulled a matching head cover over her hair and the bottom of her face. She wore no jewlery, and no makeup. A guard was waiting at the door. She slipped her arm into his and continued to walk along the formost corridor of the Sun Tower to its front exit. Her escort didnt look like much, he was not obviously musuclar, but were lions didnt need to be obvious. He wone the same shade of yellow only in his tie, other than that he ws wearing a simple black suit with his shirt tails out. They looked for all the world like a wealthy couple taking leave of her Highnesses presence. They turned down the road and walked leisurely, though Amariths knew exactly where she was going, they seemed to be on a leisurely stroll. She tried to hide the golden brocaided tips of her shoes under the long ends of her sari, but they kept poking out and every woman they passed stard at her feet. 'Oh well atleast its not my face theyre staring at' she thought. As they reached a huge and intricate building she smiled and pulled her escort to a halt. "You may wait at the entrance" she whispered into his ear when she pulled his head down far enough to reach. Then she looked up at the doors beautifully carved with scenes of The Six and their deeds. It was Red Oak and Amazingly strong, yet swung open silently at the lightest pressure from her hand. She walked down the hall way to the part of the Temple dedicatd to the Oracle. The walls were deep green limestone, the veind running through it were full with gold and the floor ws covered in carpet that resembled moss in texture and color. At the front ws a life size statue of a man with golden eyes, he ws beautiful for there was no ther word for him but that. When she reached the shrine she laid insence in a tray and lit it with the tip of her finger, beside the insence she laid a pouch of golden coins as an offering. She then stepped back a few steps and got to her knees. There she closed her eyes and addressed the God before her.
God of Sight and Future Knowledge,
I ask that you hear me in my prayer to you,
In your goodness I have never asked of you the one thing I desired.
I ask that you hear me in my prayer to you,
In your goodness I have never asked of you the one thing I desired.
She thought breifly of Armand.
Great God,
I Pray that you take mercy on me.
My soul longs for that which it believes it will never have.
Never have I fallen in love.
Please, God of Foreknowledge,
Tell me, or show me...
Will my soul ever find its beloved?
Again she thought of the Knight of Aelor she had met only once and in passing, and yet the one who had made the largest impression.
I know he may not be the one,
But tell me please,
Is there anyone?
I Pray that you take mercy on me.
My soul longs for that which it believes it will never have.
Never have I fallen in love.
Please, God of Foreknowledge,
Tell me, or show me...
Will my soul ever find its beloved?
Again she thought of the Knight of Aelor she had met only once and in passing, and yet the one who had made the largest impression.
I know he may not be the one,
But tell me please,
Is there anyone?
